JWA Recruits Stars For Brazil

James Watt Automotive (JWA) has secured an all-star driver line-up for the final round of this year’s Le Mans Series, the Mil Milhas in Brazil on November 10.

The Staffordshire-based team’s Porsche 997 GT3-RSR will be driven by moral LMS GT2-class co-champion Allan Simonsen, double Porsche Supercup champion Richard Westbrook, 2005 Australian GT champion Bryce Washington and experienced sportscar racer Paul Daniels. read more

Reigning Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup champion Richard Westbrook stormed up the field to finish fourth in Sunday’s race in Turkey to maintain a healthy points advantage in the 2007 standings.

Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup maestro Richard Westbrook put in a heroic performance around the streets of Monte Carlo to finish within a second of the race winner and extend his championship lead - despite a blown clutch.

The clutch blew up at the start, meaning that the 31-year-old Londoner had to adapt to a different style of driving and put the pressure on the cars in front throughout the 16-lap race. He finished third but, with race winner Jeroen Bleekemolen a guest driver and ineligible for points, Westbrook took a second-place score away from the Monaco Grand Prix curtain-raiser. read more
